“We would be out documenting every single individual, no matter the weather and no matter the hour. The principle was simpe; every single individual deserves to get their story told and their unjust murder shown. 

Unsurprisingly we documented signs of numerous welfare violations. Whales with multiple harpoon wounds would suggest a sporatic aim and therefore a long time to die. This isn’t neccesarily because of bad aim, but certainly because of the nature of hunting whales with a harpoon from a moving ship out at sea. 

The 2023 investigation confirmed this as 58 whales had been observed with 41% of them taking longer time to pass than required. (median 11,5 minutes) and with two of them taking over an hour to soccumb to their wounds. Other horrible practices like developing fetus’ ripped out of pregnant mothers were documented. “
